Who we are

A family mill that never outgrew its farmers

Tulsi Rice Mill began in 1992 with one belief — that good rice is decided long before it reaches the machine. It is decided in the field, at the weighbridge, and in how fairly a farmer is treated when he brings his crop in.

Thirty-four years later the plant is unrecognisable: a fully imported Satake line, optical sorters, calibrated grading and 100 MT of daily output. What has not changed is the handshake at the gate. Our sourcing network of 700+ farm families is the real infrastructure behind every bag we ship.

Field to bag

Six controlled stages between the paddy and your pantry

01

Paddy intake

Farm-gate weighing and moisture grading.

02

Cleaning & de-stoning

Straw, stone and dust removed completely.

03

Milling & polishing

Satake whitening for a silky, uniform grain.

04

Optical sorting

Dual-pass sorters eject discoloured kernels.

05

Grading & packing

Sized, weighed and sealed to your spec.

06

Dispatch

Documented, loaded and tracked to your door.

100% Satake. No compromise anywhere in the line.

Infrastructure

100% Satake. No compromise anywhere in the line.

Every machine on our floor is imported from Satake, Japan — the benchmark in rice processing. Precision husking protects the kernel, silky polishing gives the grain its finish, and twin-pass optical sorters remove discoloured and immature kernels the eye would miss.

Farmer-first sourcing

Paddy is procured directly from over 700 partner farms across the belt — no middle layers, transparent moisture testing, and payment within 24 hours.

Japanese precision milling

Every grain passes Satake de-stoning, husking, whitening, silky polishing and dual-pass colour sorting before it is allowed into a bag.

Lab-checked, lot by lot

Moisture, broken percentage, chalkiness and length-breadth ratio are recorded for every lot, and the report travels with the consignment.

Supply you can plan around

100 MT of daily throughput and buffered paddy storage mean your indent is dispatched on schedule, in season and out of it.

What drives us

Our vision & mission

Our Vision

To be the rice mill that both a farmer and a buyer name first — recognised across India for grain purity, for growing 20% every year without ever diluting quality, and for proving that a mill can scale while keeping its village relationships intact.

Our Mission

To mill 100 MT a day at a standard no batch escapes: fair, immediate payment to every partner farmer, fully imported Satake processing, lab verification on each lot, and dispatch discipline that earns us the right to keep 100% of the customers who trust us.

Since 1992

The road from one huller to 100 MT

  1. 1992

    The first mill wheel turns

Tulsi Rice Mill is founded with a single huller and a promise to farm families: fair weighing, honest rates, same-day payment.

  2. 2004

    From huller to modern line

The first automated de-stoner and grader line is commissioned, lifting head-rice recovery and giving buyers a consistent grain profile.

  3. 2013

    Satake, end to end

The plant moves to 100% imported Satake milling, whitening, polishing and optical sorting — Japanese precision on Indian paddy.

  4. 2026

    100 MT every single day

A 100 MT/day capacity, a 700+ farmer sourcing network, and buyers who have stayed with us for over a decade.

Why they stay

A 100% retention ratio, in their words

“Fourteen years of buying and I have never had to reject a load. The grain looks the same in June as it does in December.”

Wholesale distributor · Raipur

“They pay us on the day we deliver paddy and they tell us honestly what our moisture reading is. That is why our village keeps coming back.”

Partner farmer · Dhamtari belt

“Our packing spec is fussy and their team never argues about it — they just meet it, load after load.”

Retail chain buyer · Nagpur
